Better gear needs better ore. Each ore type spawns in specific biomes and depths. Here's where to find them all.
Copper Ore
The first metal you'll need. Common and easy to find.
Where: Underground in the starter biome, Howling Sands desert, cold mountain areas.
How: Dig anywhere below the surface in early zones. Reddish-brown color, hard to miss. You won't need to travel far for this one.
Iron Ore
Big upgrade from copper. Worth hunting down.
Best spot: Howling Sands biome. The cliffsides have exposed iron deposits—no digging required. Just walk along the cliff faces and mine what you see.
Backup option: Starter zone underground, but spawns are more spread out.
Gold Ore
Rarer. Shows up mid-game for crafting specific items.
Where: Scattered in Howling Sands. Small veins underground in cold biomes and starter areas.
Tips: No dedicated farming spot. Grab it when you see it. Yellow color stands out against grey stone.
Thorium Ore
Mid-tier metal. Often spawns near iron.
Best spot: Howling Sands cliffsides—same place you farm iron. Two birds, one trip.
Silver Ore
Cold biome exclusive.
Where: Mountain surfaces in cold regions. Look for exposed rock at higher elevations.
Tips: Metallic sheen makes it visible from a distance.
Cobalt Ore
Also cold biome only. Shares spawn areas with silver.
Where: Mountain peaks in cold zones. Spawns near the surface.
Look for: Blue tint. Easy to spot once you know what you're looking for.
Adamantite Ore
The hardest to find. Endgame material.
Where: Cinder Waste biome only (Tier 4 zone). Check your map for purple-tinted areas.
Strategy: Search near lava pools. Purple-colored blocks spawn close to lava. Also appears in underground caves and chests.
Note: Only spawns in Cinder Wastes. Other Tier 4 zones don't have it.
Mythril Ore
Nobody has confirmed finding this yet. Might not be in the game, or spawns are extremely rare. Could be added later.
Mining Tips
- Figure out how much ore you need first. The Crafting Calculator helps with that.
- Upgrade your pickaxe before long mining trips. Higher tier = faster mining.
- The Interactive Map shows ore locations visually.
- Bring torches and food if you're going deep.
